Let’s talk about something that might make you happier than stumbling upon a pony named Li’l Sebastian in your office. Amy Poehler, the queen of Pawnee herself, is ready for a Parks and Recreation reunion. That’s right, folks, the Leslie Knope we all adore could be making a comeback sooner than you think.
Leslie Knope’s Return? Amy Poehler Weighs In
During a recent chat with Variety at the Smart Girls’ 10th anniversary celebration dinner, the 47-year-old comedian dropped some exciting news. “I am technically available,” Amy said with a smile, adding, “I have like six of Leslie’s blazers in my closet, so anytime.” Now, that’s what you call dedication to your character. But hold on, there’s a small catch. “Our king [show creator Michael Schur] is busy doing his highly successful show, The Good Place,” Amy explained. “We really can’t jump without Mike. So when Mike is good and ready, I’m sure we’ll show up like good soldiers.”
For seven glorious seasons, from 2009 to 2015, Parks and Recreation took us on a delightful journey through the quirky town of Pawnee, Indiana. The final season even gave us a glimpse into the future, though it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Spoiler alert: we lost one of our favorite bumbling characters, Jerry. Still, the idea of reuniting with Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson, and the rest of the gang is enough to warm even the coldest of hearts.

Who Else Is On Board?
So, Amy, are you saying there’s a chance? Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to see the entire cast back together? Alongside Amy, the show starred Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate, Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger, Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt, Retta as Donna Meagle, and, of course, Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer. While Chris Pratt’s career has certainly taken off since the show ended, we’re sure he’d be thrilled to revisit Pawnee for a bit.
