Hey there, let's talk about the royal family's Christmas festivities. If you happened to miss out on some family events this holiday season, don’t feel too bad. Even Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, wasn’t able to make it to church services on Christmas morning because she’s been battling a pretty nasty cold.
Prince Charles’ wife was supposed to join the royal family on Christmas Day, including attending St. Mary Magdalene Church. However, according to royal correspondent Rebecca English, Camilla had to sit this one out. Not only did her cold prevent her from attending the service, but it also kept her from Queen Elizabeth’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on December 19. This is why Camilla isn’t in the photo below, which shows her husband, Prince Charles, walking with their sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, and their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, on December 25.

Who Else Was Missing?
Prince Charles arrived at the Christmas festivities alone before joining other members of the royal family. But Camilla wasn’t the only absentee from the church trip. The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, also didn’t attend. Don’t worry, though—Philip’s fans can rest easy. Rebecca English reassured everyone that Philip isn’t sick. Instead, he decided to spend some quality time with his family away from the public eye, enjoying a quieter Christmas.

Rumors of Feuds Put to Rest?
Despite some members being absent from the Christmas events, it seems like the day went well for the royal family. This has temporarily put to rest rumors of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. The two were seen smiling together on their way to the Christmas Day service at church, which we’re going to take as a positive sign. Either they’re genuinely getting along, or they’re biting their tongues while exchanging some choice words under their breath.
Wishing Camilla a Speedy Recovery
As for Camilla, we sincerely hope she feels better soon. Of course, there’s always the possibility that she faked being sick to avoid family time. Hey, we’ve all been there, right? Sometimes a little alone time is exactly what the doctor ordered.
