When Candace Cameron Bure joined the cast of The View as a co-host, she brought a refreshing energy to the show that made it even more captivating for viewers. Her presence was undeniably magnetic, and when she announced her departure from the morning talk show in 2016, fans were left heartbroken. After all, who wouldn’t want to be part of such a high-profile program? But during a recent appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Candace revealed that her time on The View wasn’t exactly her dream gig.
"I don’t miss The View at all," said Candace, now 42, in an honest moment with Wendy. "I absolutely adore being on talk shows and hosting them, but that particular role was tough every single day, especially when it came to discussing politics." While the experience wasn't her cup of tea, Candace did find some solace in using the platform to talk about her faith. "That was the easiest part for me—to share my beliefs," she admitted.
Why Candace Decided to Step Away

Candace explained that while she enjoyed certain aspects of The View, such as discussing her faith, she felt it was time to move on. "I’m content right now focusing on lighter topics," she shared. This decision aligns with her desire to prioritize her family and other professional commitments.

Her Focus Shifted Toward Acting
When Candace made the announcement to leave The View back in 2016, she emphasized her plans to dedicate more time to her acting career. "Before I started The View, I had already committed to projects like Fuller House and my work with the Hallmark Channel," she explained. "The success of those shows only increased my responsibilities, making it challenging to balance everything."

She elaborated further on the challenges of maintaining her demanding schedule. "Travelling between the West Coast and East Coast every week was tough on me personally and also on my family," she revealed. "I want to ensure that I’m fully present for my children and can invest my energy into the projects that truly matter to me."
