From Blossom to The Big Bang Theory: Mayim Bialik's Journey
Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Back in 1995, Mayim Bialik waved goodbye to her beloved show Blossom, a series that had been a part of her life for five seasons. Fast forward more than two decades, and here we are again. Now, the 42-year-old actress is preparing to bid farewell to another iconic series, The Big Bang Theory, where she's been a key player since 2010. It's like the universe has a way of bringing things full circle, doesn’t it?
In a heartfelt conversation with In Touch Weekly, Mayim opened up about her emotions as the cast gears up to film the final episode of this beloved sitcom next April. “It’s emotional,” she confessed, adding that she’s trying her best to “capture every moment.” She understands the importance of cherishing these final days because once they're gone, they’re gone. “Every week kind of feels like, ‘This is the last time we’ll be doing this kind of script.’ It’s been such a long run, and so it’s kind of hard to imagine life after this,” she explained. Can you even imagine walking away from something that’s been such a huge part of your life for so long?

Staying Connected: The Cast's Future Plans
So, what happens when the curtain falls on The Big Bang Theory? Will Mayim remain connected with her on-screen pals? Absolutely, according to the actress herself. “I can’t imagine that we wouldn’t!” she exclaimed. In fact, Mayim shared a delightful anecdote about a dream she had where the entire cast went hiking together. “I was telling everybody, ‘Why didn’t we do this before?’” she joked. It’s clear that the bonds formed on set go far beyond the screen.

Mayim also revealed who among the cast she’s closest to. “Melissa [Rauch] and I are probably closest,” she said. “Jim [Parsons] as well. I’m Simon’s [Helberg’s] biggest fan, so I think it creeps him out that he’s the person I want to stay in touch with the most.” And let’s not forget Johnny Galecki—Mayim has known him since they were just 14 years old. “We’ll be part of each other’s lives in some way,” she shared. It’s safe to say that Mayim will carry a treasure trove of memories from her time on the show. “It’s different than a family or friendship. It’s fun to get scripts and see how we’ll work together to create comedy,” she added.
Life Beyond The Big Bang Theory
One thing is for sure—Mayim won’t be short on things to do once The Big Bang Theory wraps up. As a mom to two children with her ex-husband Michael Stone, 13-year-old Miles and 10-year-old Fred, Mayim has her hands full. And if you’re wondering how she manages to juggle it all, she has a secret for you. “One of my secrets to getting so many things done is that I don’t sleep a lot!” she joked. But don’t take her word for it—Mayim has a degree in neuroscience, so she probably knows a thing or two about the importance of rest. In fact, she recently partnered with mattress brand Nectar Sleep to emphasize just how crucial a good night’s sleep is. Talk about walking the talk!
