Tamron Hall Sends Love to Kathie Lee Gifford After Her Departure from 'Today'

She wrote, "Sending love and hugs to @kathielgifford! Thank you for always offering support, love, and advice." Alongside a throwback photo featuring herself, Kathie Lee, Hoda, and Savannah Guthrie, she continued, "Wishing you nothing but the best as you take on a new chapter. Some of the best memories I had at Today were because of your infectious joy. God Bless." It’s clear Tamron cherishes her time with Kathie Lee and the entire 'Today' family.

Fans Are Begging for Tamron to Return
Of course, fans were quick to chime in with their own wishes and hopes. Many commented on Tamron's post, suggesting she should return to 'Today' after Kathie Lee's departure. Tamron's Journey and Departure from 'Today'
Let’s rewind a bit. Back in February 2017, Tamron made the decision to leave 'Today' to focus on new projects, following the hiring of Megyn Kelly. At the time, NBC News released a statement saying, "Yesterday was [Tamron’s] last day as an anchor on both networks. Tamron is an exceptional journalist, we valued and enjoyed her work at Today and MSNBC and hoped that she would decide to stay. We are disappointed that she has chosen to leave, but we wish her all the best."
Tamron herself shared her feelings in a message released by the network, saying, "The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful. I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you." It’s clear she left with a lot of gratitude and excitement for what was to come.
Kathie Lee's Emotional Farewell
Fast forward to December 11, 2018, and Kathie Lee also announced her decision to step away from 'Today.' She revealed, "I have something to share with everybody. It’s bittersweet as these things always are, but I have been here almost 11 years. Thought I would stay one year. Something happened along the way and fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess and when it’s our 11th anniversary I will be leaving the Today show." Her words were heartfelt and emotional, expressing her deep connection with the show and its people.

She continued, "I know. It’s an exciting time for me and I’m thrilled about the projects coming up, but it’s also hard is because the reason I stayed longer than a year is because I love everybody here. I have been in this business 120 years and never worked with a more beautiful group of people who just give, give, give every day, four hours of live television five days a week." It’s clear that her departure was not just a professional decision but an emotional one too.
