Kathie Lee Gifford’s Response to Critics: Happiness and Health Over Judgment
On Thursday, September 6, Kathie Lee Gifford, the beloved co-host of the Today show, addressed the growing trend of body-shaming that has followed her online. In her candid response, she made it crystal clear that she's done tolerating negativity. At the age of 65, she's never felt better or been in better shape. "So many people have been reaching out and saying, 'You’re so skinny now,'" Kathie Lee revealed to her co-host, Hoda Kotb. Her response was bold and unapologetic: "I’ll just put it out there—I am so happy, so fit, so healthy, and so hopeful. If you don’t like it, sue me!"

Why the Critics Are Wrong: A Life of Fitness and Fulfillment
Kathie Lee didn’t stop there. She went on to explain that her current level of fitness far surpasses what she was capable of in her 20s. "I’m working 10 times harder than I did back then, and if that bothers some people, they need to look inward and figure out why," she emphasized. For Kathie Lee, the opinions of those who matter most to her are the only ones that count. "The people in my life who truly care about me are thrilled with how I’m doing. Everyone else? Their opinions don’t hold any weight," she concluded.

Hoda Kotb, always the supportive co-host, jumped in to defend her friend. She pointed out that Kathie Lee’s recent weight loss can be attributed to her hectic schedule. In a past episode of Today, Kathie Lee admitted that she wakes up at 2 a.m. and often skips breakfast because she has to get to the studio by 8 a.m. "I don’t have time for breakfast," she explained. "By the time I get here at 7:30, I usually opt for Quaker Oats oatmeal with a tablespoon of peanut butter. It’s not the healthiest, but it gets the job done for me."
