Let’s talk about change. Roseanne Barr, the outspoken comedian and actress, has had a whirlwind of a year. After her controversial tweet that led to the abrupt cancellation of her hit show, Roseanne, she’s now considering a major life shift—moving to Israel. Here’s the twist: she’s making these plans just a month before the premiere of The Conners, the spin-off of her former show, which will air without her. It’s a bold move, but hey, life’s all about change, right?
During a candid interview on the Rabbi Shmuley Boteach Podcast, Roseanne opened up about her potential relocation. She revealed, “I have this amazing opportunity to travel to Israel for a few months to study with some of my favorite teachers. I’m seriously considering making the move and settling somewhere there to continue my studies. It’s a dream come true for me. I’m so grateful to be in a position where I can do this. Roseanne's Decision to Move: A New Chapter?
Now, it’s uncertain whether Roseanne will actually pull the trigger and make the move. But considering the firestorm she’s faced after that infamous tweet about Valerie Jarrett, it wouldn’t be surprising. Roseanne has apologized multiple times for her hurtful words, and she even gave the green light to The Conners, which is set to premiere on ABC on October 16. It’s a testament to her ability to move forward despite the challenges.
In a statement at the time, Roseanne said, “I deeply regret the circumstances that led to my removal from Roseanne. I agreed to the settlement because I wanted to save the jobs of over 200 talented cast and crew members. I truly wish the best for everyone involved in the show.”

Roseanne's Mindset: Staying Neutral
In the podcast, Roseanne also shared her current mindset, saying, “I’m not going to curse it or bless it. I’m staying neutral. That’s what I do. I’m staying neutral. I’m staying away from it. Not wishing bad on anyone, and I don’t wish good for my enemies. I don’t. I can’t. I just stay neutral. That’s what I gotta do. I have some mental health issues, including depression, and I need to stay balanced. If I don’t, I’ll go dark, and I don’t want to go dark again. I’ve been there. After all, I was married to Tom Arnold.”
