Tyra admitted that York, like any other two-year-old, has his moments. “There’s no denying that every toddler goes through some tough phases, and York is no exception,” she said. “But here’s the thing—this little guy doesn’t just call the shots; he’s running the whole operation!”
One memorable moment Tyra recounted was when York took it upon himself to enforce mealtime rules. “I was trying to tell him that he needs to sit at the table while eating, and he couldn’t run around,” Tyra explained. “Then, the other day, my mom was eating at the kitchen counter, and York just had to step in. He said, ‘Nana, sit down. You’re eating. Sit down, Nana.’ Can you believe it? He’s got everyone in the house following his rules!”

York’s Arrival: A Journey Through Challenges and Triumphs
York’s journey into Tyra’s life wasn’t without its hurdles. After several unsuccessful IVF attempts with her then-boyfriend Erik Asla, Tyra welcomed York via a surrogate in January 2017. Despite the heartbreak of her relationship ending in 2017, Tyra has remained unfazed, focusing on what truly matters—raising her son with love and joy.
Her mom, Carolyn London, is already dreaming of more grandkids. “My son is always on the go, and my mom keeps reminding me that he needs a playmate. She says things like, ‘He’s calling himself a big brother, so he must need a sibling!’ I’m like, ‘Mom, there’s nobody under him! What does big brother even mean?’” Tyra laughed. Her solution? Renting a baby. “I joked about finding a cute baby with a blue jumpsuit to rent as York’s sibling. Maybe we could borrow one from the neighbors,” she quipped.
