Pierce Brosnan Shares His Memorable Moments as James Bond
For Pierce Brosnan, stepping into the iconic role of James Bond wasn’t just a job—it was a dream come true. The 64-year-old actor, who graced the big screen as 007 in four films between 1995 and 2002, recently opened up about his unforgettable experiences on set. Speaking exclusively to Closer during the Concert on the Bluffs in Malibu on August 20, Brosnan reminisced about the sheer joy of bringing the legendary character to life.
“Every day on set was a thrilling adventure. Being part of a franchise with such a storied legacy was both exhilarating and a huge responsibility,” Pierce fondly recalled. “It wasn’t just about playing a character—it was about continuing a tradition that has captivated audiences for decades.”

Why Pierce Has No Plans to Return as 007
While Brosnan’s time as James Bond was nothing short of magical, the actor has made it clear that his chapter as the suave secret agent has officially closed. Even though he starred in iconic films like GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day, Brosnan insists he has no desire to revisit the role. “That’s another man’s job now,” he stated. “Daniel Craig is an extraordinary James Bond, and he’s done an incredible job bringing new life to the character.”
Daniel Craig took over the mantle of 007 in 2005 and has since portrayed the character in Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015). His gritty, modern interpretation of the classic role has earned widespread acclaim and kept the franchise fresh for a new generation of fans.
