In the video, little Calvin is perched cozily on the couch in their NYC home, his eyes glued to the television screen. Brian, playing the role of the inquisitive dad, asks Calvin, “Want to watch Mommy?” As Dylan, looking fabulous at 37, appears on the screen, Calvin shakes his head vigorously. “No, no, no, no!” he exclaims, his tiny voice filled with conviction. The poor kid even starts crying. When Brian asks what Calvin wants to watch instead, the answer is simple: “Elmo.” And just like that, the furry red Muppet wins the day. Dylan Dreyer Jokes About Being Beaten by Elmo
The next day, Dylan couldn’t help but laugh about the whole situation during the Today broadcast. She joked, “Getting beat out by Elmo! But it’s Mommy! I thought he’d be thrilled to see me on TV after not seeing him all day Monday. But apparently, not even a little bit.” Her co-worker, Al Roker, was in stitches as Dylan shared the story. Mommy’s Love: Dylan Goes All Out for Calvin’s Birthday
Despite the playful rejection, Dylan didn’t let it get to her. In fact, she went above and beyond for Calvin’s second birthday on December 17.
