Hey there, friends! So, guess what? Carrie Underwood, the queen of country music, isn’t having the best time with sleep these days. And no, it’s not just a bad dream—it’s real! As she gears up to welcome her second baby, it seems like pregnancy insomnia has decided to crash her party. Poor thing, right?
On a chilly Thursday morning, December 20, around 4:30 a.m., Carrie took to Twitter to vent about her restless night. "Dear pregnancy insomnia, please go bother someone else... like dads," she joked. "Go bother dads. My husband sleeps so soundly and peacefully, and I've been awake for two hours (so far). How is this fair? Imma lose my mind!" The 35-year-old singer hilariously added some emojis to emphasize her frustration—because who doesn’t need a little humor when they’re losing sleep?

Can you even imagine lying there wide awake while your husband is snoring away like a champ? That must have been infuriating for Carrie. But hey, she found a way to pass the time—online shopping! Five hours after her initial tweet, Carrie confessed, "Worst part about insomnia = waking up this morning to see what I bought online while I was up." Turns out, she splurged on over $600 worth of makeup. Oof! She even hashtagged her tweet with "#SeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime #HelpMe #TakeAwayMyShoppingApps #ButThereWasASale." Classic Carrie!
Carrie's Fans Step In With Advice
Of course, her fans were quick to chime in with advice to help her catch some ZZZs. One person suggested, "Girl, get you some melatonin—it's safe. Us mommas need our sleep." Another offered, "Have some warm milk. Put the phone away. Count backward from 1,000 by threes. 1000, 997, 994, etc." It’s always heartwarming to see how supportive her followers are, isn’t it?

Preparing for Sleepless Nights Ahead
Maybe Carrie's insomnia is just a sneak preview of the sleepless nights ahead once her second baby arrives. Back in August, Carrie and her former NHL player husband, Mike Fisher, announced they're expecting their second child. Life is about to change drastically for this happy family. While their lives are expanding, Carrie joked that her son Isaiah’s "world is about to get rocked," too.

And guess what? Little Isaiah already has a plan for the new arrival. Last month, Carrie shared with People magazine that Isaiah told her, "[Isaiah] said recently that when the new baby comes, Daddy could have that baby, and then he could be mine." Clearly, Isaiah hasn't quite grasped how things will work once the baby arrives, but it's adorable nonetheless.
Carrie's Bond with Her Son
Carrie also opened up about the special bond she shares with Isaiah. "He's just the sweetest," she gushed. "He's just my guy. He cuddles and kisses on me. So I'm hoping this next one has some of that personality." We’re rooting for you, Carrie! Let’s hope baby No. 2 inherits some of that sweetness.
