The former First Lady, and author of the best-selling memoir Becoming, revealed that even during monumental moments in her life, such as when her husband, Barack Obama, ran for the presidency in 2008, she often questioned her own abilities and worth.

From High School to the White House: Michelle’s Journey of Self-Discovery

Michelle candidly admitted that doubts have been a recurring theme throughout her life. "I’ve had many doubts through my life. They cropped up when I went to a high school across town and a college across the country, when I was a young lawyer in a high-rise law firm, when I took a leap of faith and allowed our family to venture into a Presidential race," she said. These pivotal moments in her life brought with them a flood of insecurities and uncertainty.

Breaking Through Self-Doubt: Michelle Finds Her Voice

As Michelle progressed through her life, these lingering doubts began to overshadow her sense of self-worth, making her feel unworthy of her achievements and position in the White House. "In all those moments, a chorus of doubts rang out inside my head: Do I really belong here? Am I good enough?" she continued. However, over time, Michelle came to realize that she deserved to be in these esteemed environments. "I just had to trust my instincts and be myself — and then the rest would take care of itself," she explained.
