Wow, talk about elegance and grace! Kate Middleton truly stole the spotlight in an all-white ensemble at her youngest child Prince Louis' royal christening on Monday, July 9. The photos from the event are absolutely breathtaking, and we just can’t get enough of how stunning Kate looked that day.

Arriving in Style

Stepping out in London, Kate, who is 36 years old, was captured arriving at the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace alongside her husband, Prince William, also 36, and their two older children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3. The entire Cambridge family was joined by Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, making the occasion even more special. It was a family affair, and the world was watching!

Reports suggest that Kate’s stunning white gown was designed by the renowned Alexander McQueen. To complete her look, she paired it with elegant nude pumps and a striking white headband adorned with flowers and birdcage netting crafted by London milliner Jane Taylor. The entire ensemble was nothing short of perfection, showcasing Kate's impeccable sense of style.

This isn’t the first time Kate has opted for an all-white look at a royal christening. Her choices for George and Charlotte’s baptisms were equally as iconic. For George’s ceremony in October 2013, she wore a cream-colored Alexander McQueen dress paired with a matching fascinator. Fast forward to Charlotte’s christening in July 2015, and Kate dazzled in a stark white Alexander McQueen fit-and-flare dress with a coordinating hat. It seems like Kate has a thing for timeless elegance!

    Tradition Lives On

Staying true to royal tradition, baby Louis was dressed in the same christening gown worn by his older siblings, George and Charlotte, at their baptisms. This family heirloom is an exact replica of the christening gown that Queen Victoria’s daughter, Princess Victoria, wore back in 1841. Amazingly, this gown has been used for 62 royal babies, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William, until it was deemed too delicate and a replica was made in 2008.

A royal insider shared with People that the gown was meticulously recreated using both modern machinery and handwork. “It was made from scratch, from sketching it out, to embroidering the lace on a special silk-based tulle,” they explained. Designed by the Queen’s assistant, Angela Kelly, and crafted by Buckingham Palace’s team of dressmakers, this gown is a true masterpiece.
