But let's face it—this storyline is likely to unfold throughout the season, so we need her alive and kicking to see it through!

Kevin McKidd adds more depth to the situation, saying, “Amelia hasn’t known about this tumor for years, and it’s been growing for a long time, influencing her choices and actions. Nobody knew about it, least of all her. This is a tough spot for Owen because now he’s faced with the possibility that if they manage to remove the tumor, Amelia could have an entirely different personality. She’s questioning who she’ll be once this tumor is gone. It’s going to shake things up big time.”
