Let's be real for a second—reality TV isn’t always the most intellectual form of entertainment. But let's be honest, we all have our guilty pleasures, right? Those overly dramatic, unscripted storylines can be hard to resist, and sometimes, it's just nice to sit back and let the drama unfold. And guess what? We’re not the only ones. Turns out, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are huge fans of reality TV too! Knowing that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoy a little mindless TV makes us feel a little better about our own binge-watching habits. After all, if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us, right?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Fave Reality Show

According to Hello!, Meghan, who’s now 36, and Harry, who’s 33, are huge fans of The Voice Kids. They love tuning in to watch the competition unfold and enjoy the show so much that it’s become a staple in their home entertainment lineup. Recently, Meghan had the chance to meet a former contestant, Donel Mangena, and she couldn’t contain her excitement. Imagine meeting someone you’ve watched on TV and being able to tell them how much you’ve enjoyed their performance—it’s a fan moment that Meghan clearly cherished.

Donel Mangena's Encounter with the Royals

During an appearance on the UK morning show Lorraine, 16-year-old Mangena recounted the unforgettable moment when he met the royals at Queen Elizabeth’s 92nd birthday party earlier this year. Mangena said, “Harry and Meghan walked in, and I was expecting a polite handshake, but Meghan screamed my name and ran over to give me a big hug.” It was clear that Meghan was a huge fan of Mangena’s performances on The Voice Kids. Mangena also shared that Prince Harry told him, “our money’s on you,” to which he jokingly replied, “Thanks Harry, no pressure.” Can you imagine the excitement of meeting your favorite royals and hearing such encouraging words?

Unfortunately, Mangena didn’t take home the top prize on the show—he was the runner-up. The German version of The Voice is a hit with kids and families, and while Mangena didn’t win, Ruti Olajugbagbe did, taking home a $30,000 grand prize and a trip to Disneyland Paris. But hey, meeting Harry and Meghan? That’s a win in itself, and we’re totally jealous of Mangena’s experience!
