Let me tell you a story. Prince William, the 35-year-old Duke of Cambridge, was chatting it up with patients at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, September 14. In a candid moment, he opened up about his two-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte. "She’s going to be trouble when she gets older," William said with a smile to patient Pagan Tordengrav. "Every dad tells me to watch out for the little girls." Now, if you think about it, little girls can be full of energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of charm. William seems to know this well.
Charlotte, who's already making waves in the media, had everyone talking earlier this year when she experienced what many might call the world's cutest tantrum. It happened during the royal family's five-day tour of Germany and Poland. The tiny princess scrunched her face and stomped her feet in a picture-perfect mini-meltdown. But fear not, because her doting mother, Kate Middleton, was right there to soothe her. These moments remind us that even royalty isn't immune to the ups and downs of childhood.

Now, let’s talk about Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge, who recently announced her third pregnancy, wasn't feeling her best and had to skip the hospital visit due to some severe morning sickness. When asked about her condition, William assured everyone that she’s "very well" and gracefully steered the conversation away from her health. It’s always fascinating to see how royals handle such delicate topics with grace and tact.
Prince George's First Week at School
But wait, there’s more. William also shared some insights into his son, Prince George's, first week at school. “George has been really easy. He hasn’t asked, ‘Do I have to do this for the rest of my life?’” William joked with patient Teresa Jones, an 87-year-old from Kirkby, England. “George rules the roost, but Charlotte’s not far behind,” he added. These little details give us a glimpse into the dynamics within the royal household.
George’s first day at Thomas’s Battersea School in London was on September 7. The four-year-old future king looked sharp in his navy V-neck sweater, blue shirt, knee-length shorts, shiny black shoes, and a backpack. He might have been a little shy and nervous, but he was greeted warmly by his head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, who held his hand while proud dad William stood by his side. George was then taken to his classroom, where he’ll be known simply as George Cambridge among his classmates. It’s a refreshing reminder that even royalty values a sense of normalcy.
George is now part of one of three reception classes at this co-educational school. He’ll be in a mixed class of boys and girls, learning alongside his peers. The school emphasizes core values like kindness, courtesy, confidence, humility, and the importance of giving rather than taking. It’s no surprise that the Tatler Schools Guide describes it as a place where the “cream of the Battersea crop rises to the likes of Eton and Wycombe Abbey.” With 544 day pupils aged between four and 13, including George’s royal relative, Maud Windsor, the school is a prestigious institution located just a stone’s throw away from Kate and William’s royal residence, Kensington Palace.
